Hello and welcome to Colchester Buggy Bootcamp! We run local Colchester based fitness classes for parents to enjoy group workouts… all without the need for childcare!

About Us

Amy Horne, started teaching Colchester Buggy Bootcamp back in April 2014. Amy’s goal was to help local parents to look and feel better after having children. Her aim was to provide all clients with safe, effective, relaxed and fun group fitness classes. Amy also wanted to provide local parents with a way to enjoy working out without the worry, stress and financial strain of childcare. Since starting Colchester Buggy Bootcamp, Amy has worked with thousands of local mums and continues to inspire her clients to live happier and healthier lives.

Our Classes

Our Buggy Bootcamp classes are designed for all abilities and fitness levels. Whether you are brand new to exercise, or you have been exercising regularly for years… there’s plenty of options to suit everyone! Our classes have a very relaxed approach, with parents encouraged to feed, change and cuddle their babies at absolutely any time.

Babies are very welcome to come out of their buggies to play on the ground.

Children of all ages can attend our classes, from wobbly toddlers snacking on their crisps to slightly unsociable teenagers sitting on their tablet… all children are very welcome!

Benefits

Our workout classes are designed to get you fitter, stronger and more toned. Minimal fitness equipment is used in our classes as we mainly use our own body weight and the space around us. All of our fun, safe and effective workouts will tone and shape your body, all whilst helping you to burn fat too… and you are certain to see and feel the results! However, the benefits don’t just end there as our classes have much more than just a positive physical impact on parents. Our classes are known to hugely benefit our participants mentally throughout their post-natal journey too, with that wonderful release of endorphins. Being outdoors with other like-minded parents in the fresh air is truly wonderful for maternal mental health.

When Can I Join?

You must have successfully completed your 6 week post-natal check up with your GP before you can attend any Colchester Buggy Bootcamp class. We advise booking this appointment as soon as you can after you child’s birth. At this appointment, your Dr will normally advise that you are ready to become more physically active again, unless he or she has any cause for concern. It is always highly advisable to build up your fitness slowly whilst listening to your body.

Cost

Our classes are just £7 per class (based on attending one class per week), £6 per class (based on attending two classes per week) or £5 per class (based on attending three classes per week). Classes are all to be paid for upfront termly.
